With all the mess we see on the news about the economy, the debt ceiling, FEMA being broke, hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes, it is easy to draw a conclusion that the world is coming to an end. Fade to black.
If I were to follow the craziness I see being portrayed by the media I might as well cash in my 401k and use the money to stock pile supplies and fulfill childish fantasies. What would stop me from buying all the video games I can play and spend my few remaining hours playing Madden 2012?
The thing is, my perception of what is going on in the world is a bit skewed from what others may see. These challenges that the people and our nation face are just a mere form of adversity.
Adversity serves a purpose in our lives.
In fact, I have written a guest post over at Pick the Brain that you have to check out. I won’t bore you with all the details here.
To really get a grasp on my thoughts about adversity you have to read my guest post on Pick the Brain, The Purpose of Adversity
I’ll see you on Pick the Brain.
P.S. Do me a huge favor and retweet that post to your followers. All 11 of mine are sick of me bombarding them with requests.
Oh, I almost forgot. The prize for the wittiest comment on my guest post on Lori’s site was……Bill Dorman. Like that is a surprise. He has won a copy of the A Spark Starts free report on communication techniques, like he needs them. 🙂 Anyway, that is the prize and he is stuck with it.
That guy is just pure comedic genius. So, to make it fair you too can have a copy of the free report. Just email me directly using the subject tag of “free report” and I will send you a copy as well. I just ask that you include your name in your email so I will know who I am sending it to.
Anyway remember go read, The Purpose of Adversity on www.pickthebrain.com I will see you there. 🙂
